Acting AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO INDIVIDUALS 10 and Older.

Auditioners younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Come prepared to:

  1. Sing ONE MINUTE of one song  (No accompaniment)
  2. Deliver a short poem or reading of any appropriate kind from memory - less than ONE MINUTE
  3. Wear "movement friendly" clothing (no jeans). You will be asked to learn a simple dance routine on stage.

Rehersal Schedule

LEADS: Music Rehearsals will be done individually at mutually agreed upon times in November and December.

ALL OTHER PARTS:  Rehearsals begin December 26 until performance on February 17 and 18.  

More detailed schedule will be supplied after casting is complete.

Middle School History Class (9-15 years) (Mezzo Sopranos/Altos)

AVA: The “Fashionista/Reporter” podcasting her life (Female)

MIA: “The Activist” fighting to be seen (Female older sister to Zo)

ZO: “The Athlete” competitive and caring (Female older sister to Mia)

EM: “The Stickler” making sure everyone follows the rules (Female)

SOPH: “The Nerd” loves science, wants to be a doctor (Female)

QUIN: “The New Kid” trying to fit in (Any gender)  

IAN: “The Geek” obsessed with computers and games (Any gender)

AIDE: “The Big Heart” quietly helping whenever possible (Any gender)

BELLA AND JERRY CRUX: (50+) “The Grandparents”  of Mia and Zo.

JERRY: “Revolutionary Reenactor” cares passionately about history.

BELLA: “Caring/Grandma/Feminist” wants her grandchildren.

Revolutionary Era Characters

PATRIOT CHORUS: (Ages 20-70/Bass/Tenor/Alto) Six adults who sing and play the parts of the Oarsmen, the Sled Drivers, the Springfield Craftsmen

HENRY (HARRY) KNOX: (20+) (Tenor / Baritone)

A 24 year old Boston bookseller and self-taught military strategist who, as Washington’s Chief of Artillery in 1775-76 organizes and leads the "Noble Train of Artillery"  transporting captured cannons from Fort Ticonderoga across 300 miles in winter to Boston and saved the Revolutionary War.

LUCY FLUCKER KNOX: (17+) (Soprano)

At 17, Lucy defies her father, secretly marries Harry Knox, her wealthy family disown her, predicting she will hang for treason. Yet she never gives up. She is 8 months pregnant and Harry's whole world.

GENERAL SCHUYLER: (40+) (Non-singing)  

Schuyler commands the Northern Department of the Continental Army. He doesn’t like Knox’s plan f and thinks it will be the ruin of the Revolution.
